The "enhanced" versions provide the same functionality you have come to expect from Avantext, but with the added benefit of providing fully hyperlinked documentation that allows for the absolute fastest and easiest navigation available on the market today

To better understand what this change means and how it will impact the Aviation Maintenance Community, the standard Lycoming 4 Cylinder TechPubs product contains approximately 10,000 hyperlinks throughout the documentation. The "enhanced" version of the Lycoming 4 Cylinder product contains over 75,000 hyperlinks for superior navigation. These hyperlinks exist from one document to another, or within the same document to a referenced point. "Providing in excess of ten times the number of hyperlinks, to reduce the time spent searching through the documentation, will allow the Aviation Maintenance Professional an even greater return on their investment", said Michael Limar, Avantext's Vice President of Sales. The "enhanced" Textron and MD Helicopter TechPubs will be replacing the standard version of the products as soon as they become available. The Lycoming 4 cylinder and MD 900 Series rotorcraft have been upgraded for the April 2004 Quarterly release. The 6 and 8 cylinder products, as well as MD 369 D/E/F, and 500/600 series rotorcraft will be upgraded to coincide with the July updates. The remaining Aerobatic and Helicopter engines, as well as the MD 369H will be released in October.
The TechPubs from Avantext are mastered to allow the user to view original documentation just as the manufacturer intended it to be.
