Piper Aircraft, Inc. and Avantext, Inc. sign exclusive agreement

Piper Aircraft, Inc. and Avantext, Inc. sign an exclusive agreement for the publication of all maintenance and service related publications.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA—MARCH 17, 2008: Avantext, Inc. announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Piper Aircraft, Inc. to publish all maintenance manuals and other related service documentation in an electronic format, as they move toward new technology to address greater demand for electronic data over the distribution of both paper and microfiche products.

“Safety is one of our highest priorities at Piper,” said Raymond Phair, Director of Customer Service. “Consequently, we selected Avantext as our exclusive distributor to better protect and preserve our proprietary data and to ensure that our customers and the public are clear on where to obtain authorized data. Part of our responsibility is to ensure that maintenance and service information is published in a responsible manner and made readily available to owners, operators and mechanics alike. We have worked with Avantext for many years in the publication of our maintenance manuals and felt that they were able to deliver a high quality product, had strong distribution channels and were investing in technology that will help take us to the next level in electronic and web-based publishing.”
Kurt Schoenkopf, President of Avantext added “We are delighted to take our relationship to the next level with Piper.” “We are looking forward to supporting all of Piper’s needs and to expand our offerings to include web-based availability of documentation”. Schoenkopf added, “Avantext will bring state of the art technology along with unrivaled customer service to support of all Piper’s constituents.”
